I’m Ed Pitt (find me on LinkedIn), I started building websites in 1996 and was a fullstack (api, database, frontend) developer before picking up mobile apps in 2012, when the app ecosystem was much less mature than it is today. I built native iOS apps before moving onto early cross-platform frameworks. Eventually I moved into management of software teams that built cross-platform apps.
I’ve been a web developer, mobile developer, backend developer, senior engineer, lead engineer, head of engineering, CTO, scrum master, pre-sales, tester and product owner. Mostly for startups, scaleups, agencies, SaaS. I’ve built everything from the smallest apps to large fully fledged enterprise business applications and products.
The software world is changing fast. The cost of building bespoke software is coming down. We’re able to deliver apps that look great and work great on iPhone and Android, at less cost than others. We do this by using the best cross-platform framework, using AI assistance during the build phase, and keeping very low overheads.
And it’s not just apps that we build, we can build full stack custom business applications that suit your needs precisely. CRM? Fine. Customer loyalty system? You got it. Fundraising platform? Job done.
You may think it’s expensive to go bespoke, but with the advent of AI, and the efficiencies it brings to building software, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Do you use no-code tools? Are you vibe coding?
No. And no!
We use AI as a coding assistant, it makes us super efficient. We never lose sight of quality. We know what good, robust, secure, legible, maintainable and scaleable software should look like.
Can a micro-agency really do everything I need?
Yes, probably! Sometimes where other skills are required for your project we’ll hire them in, much like many larger digital agencies and similar to your builder bringing in an electrician for your kitchen extension. Or we may refer them directly to you. Alternatively, we’re happy to work with people you know already.
Why do you use Flutter?
Flutter is the hands-down best framework to use if you want to build a single app for both mobile platforms that has a quality feel to its UX/UI. You can read more here.

APIs, databases, admin portals, websites, 3rd party integrations, payments systems, CRM etc. Our preferred choice of tech for backend work is ASP.NET Core, MySQL, Blazor and we have experience in enterprise-grade solutions.

How much does an app cost?
It really does depend on functionality, complexity and novelty. Doing something new takes more time, doing something complex takes more time, and doing something new and complex…you get the picture. What we’re confident of is being significantly cheaper than other more established agencies, with superior outcomes.
One thing is certain, with the advent of AI coding assistance the cost of building quality bespoke software has fallen considerably.
Will you sign an NDA before I share my app idea with you?
Yes. We understand this caution completely and we’re happy to agree to not talk about your idea with anyone we’re not permitted to, and we’re even happier to not steal your idea. Trust us when we say that building an app is the easy bit – finding users is far harder!
